Ryan J. Semla Obituary
Ryan J. Semla, 36, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away tragically as the result from a construction accident in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Saint Joseph Young Men's Society Clubrooms.
The Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Ryan was born September 17, 1986 in Michigan City to Daniel and Brenda (Cox) Ritchie who are both surviving in Chesterton.
On August 10, 2019 he married Katherine Sims Semla who is surviving in LaPorte.
Also surviving is one daughter, Makenzlie Semla; three step-sons, Joshua, Carter and Gannon; grandmother, Doris Cox; two sisters, Danielle (Joe Mulholland) Scott and Sarah (Eric Sweeney) Semla; two brothers, Matthew (Malorie) Semla and Thomas Semla; best friend and fishing buddy, Robert Lyons; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Cox.
Ryan was an electrician for Ryan Construction and also owned his own lawn care business Integrity Lawn Care.
He was a true outdoors man who loved to camp and go fishing with family and friends. It was said his second baby was his boat. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made for an education fund for his daughter Makenzlie.
Visitation Period: Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 12 Noon until 4:00 p.m.
