He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Vanderpool and Mabel Vanderpool (Troyer); and his wife Colleen Hughes. He is survived by: his daughters, Bridget of Michigan City and Heather Cruz (Nector) of Michigan City; his grandchildren, Kevin Vanderpool (Becka), Timothy Cruz (Luz), Alejandro Cruz (Stephanie), Chloe Hajda (Reid), Delaney Filbert (Logan) and Liam Weaver (Ashley Toomey); his great grandchildren, Tegan Cruz, Luke Cruz, Weston Filbert, Clayton Filbert and Sloane Hajda; his brother Michael Glossinger (Barbara) of Michigan City, Indiana; and his pet Mejo.
