He is survived by: his daughter Jennefer Melnyk (Reid); his grandchildren, Macy Melnyk of Milton, Jordin Melnyk of Milton, Reid Melnyk of Milton and Camden Colvin of Michigan City; and his brother Robert Dougherty of Chicago, Illinois.
