He is survived by: his siblings, David Matthew Volk of Michigan City, Indiana, Elwood Volk Jr. (Diana) of Michigan City, Indiana and Kathleen Volk of Michigan City, Indiana; his nephews, Nicholas Volk, Brian Volk, Mark Volk and Jason Volk; and his niece Lori Lykins (Volk).

Before the pandemic, he ushered there at the church.
