He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Wilson and Lois Wilson; his former wife Jean Wilson; his son Michael Wilson; and his brother Billy Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Amelia Wilson; his children, Bill Wilson (Lynn), Meggan Oltz (John), Sara Skaggs (Ed) and Rebecca Horn; his grandchildren, Reilly Wilson, Krysten Fratgillo, Nicholas Struyf, Louis Muckway, Maxwell Muckway and Amelia Horn; and his sisters, Lynne Hippie and Laura Hensley. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
