Joseph W. Campbell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph W. Campbell of Michigan City, Indiana, who passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Campbell and Mary Campbell (Rickert); and his siblings, George Campbell, John Campbell, Mary Louise Hass and Elizabeth Troyer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Claire Curran of Elgin and Catherine Ann Shea (William) of Wichita, Kansas; his grandchildren, Aaron Smidt (Dana), Mark Smidt (Ashley), Matthew Shea and Jessica Shea; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Smidt, Cameron Smidt, Maxwell Smidt, Adriana Smidt, Cora Smidt, Nolan Smidt and Ava Shea. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (606 S Woodland Ave, Michigan City, IN 46360). An entombment was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel (153 Tilden Ave, Michigan City, IN 46360).
