He was predeceased by: his parents, Jozef Szalajko and Irene Szalajko (Leszczynska); and his siblings, Ella Voigt, Sue Giesler, Diann "Donna" Edwards, Michael Szalajko and Zeke Szalajko. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
