He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane William Kinney and Hazel May (James); his son Steven Kinney; and his siblings, Howard, John, Mary Lou, Joyce and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kinney (Graf); his son Tom Kinney (Dana) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Tyler Kinney (Kodie) and Paige Dessart (Ryan); his daughter-in-law Lori Kinney of Michigan City; his stepgrandchildren, Alicia and Bryton Maxey; and his sister-in-law Jean Kinney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
