She was predeceased by: her parents, Lethel Gregory and Paul Allen; her husbands, Cliffton Stephney I and Eddie Tyler; her grandson Aaron Smith; and her sisters, Rita Allen and Elaine Gregory.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Smith of Michigan City and Cliffton Stephney (Terri) of Bloomington; her stepson Kent Beasley of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Tiara Smith, Tony Smith and Aaliyah Smith.
