Mitchell; her grandchild Atlantis Hurt; her husband Paul Hurt Jr.; her sons, Anthony Hurt (Donnicka) of Michigan City, IN and William Hurt (Ebony) of Michigan City, IN; her sisters, Linda Cheirs of Hickman, KY and Ivy Orr of Michigan City, IN; her grandchildren, Amare'Hurt of Michigan City, IN, Aubree Hurt of Michigan City, IN and Aundreas Hurt of Michigan City, IN; her sister-in-law Suzanne Smith of LaCenter, KY; her close friends, Lisa Nichols of Michigan City, IN, Tiffany Griffin of Michigan City, IN and Leomia Farmer of Michigan City, IN; and her brothers-in-law, Bruce Hurt (Pamela) of Michigan City, IN and Brian Hurt of Dallas, TX.. She is also survived by friends locally, or sitting with her grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Redeem Fellowship Church (7922 W Pahs Rd, Michigan City, IN 46360). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Lake Memorial Gardens (5700 US-20, Michigan City, IN 46360).
