He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Beachler and Mildred Rawlings Beachler; his wife Barbara L. Wolfe; his siblings, Wilbur, Edgar Beachler, Margaret Saine and Elizabeth Bowyer; and his children-in-law, Dennis Hay and Cindy Beachler.
He is survived by: his children, John W. Beachler, II (Nancy), Stephen P. Beachler (Marsha), Marshall D. Beachler (Charlotte), Debanney "Debbie" D. Hay (Lafayette) and Kristine "Kris" K. Hite (Ron). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's' Hospital or the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
