He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Bielak; and his brothers, James Bielak and Jerome Bielak. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Shaw (Robert), Tracy Eleczko (Richard) and Melanie A. Bielak; his grandsons, Joseph J. Brown III and Andrew Nordvik (Susann); his great grandchild Jesse Burns; and his siblings, Joseph Bielak, Vickie Nordyke and Barbara Knight (Donald).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Martyrs Catholic Church (801 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Robert's name to Meals on Wheels of NWI.
