He was predeceased by: his wife Ana Martinez. He is survived by: his children, Raul G. Martinez (Maria), Magdalena G. Martinez and Hector G. Martinez (Susan); his grandchildren, Raul, Roberto, Hector E., Hector Jr., Adam and Laura; and his great grandchildren, Carley, Christian, Addison, Betty, Manny, Leila, Bjorn, Lira, Tabitha, Camila and Valeria.
