He was predeceased by: his parents, James Strayer and Delores Strayer; and his brothers, Steve, Ray and Larry.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence Strayer (Deonna); his grandchildren, Elliott, Bryonna and Micheal; and his brother Kenneth Strayer (Sharon). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
