With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen M. Lesniak of Merrillville, Indiana, who passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Nowak and Mary Nowak; her brother John Nowak; and her sisters-in-law, Cheryl and Tina Nowak.
She is survived by: her husband James Lesniak; her children, James Lesniak II (Ethan Pullman), Matthew Lesniak (Valerie) and Julie Barrett (Dann); her grandchildren, Olivia, Luke Lesniak, Aubrey and Shelby Barrett; and her siblings, Alex, Henry, Ed, Jim, Ron, Don Nowak, Mary Nowak, Marcy Loessin (Todd) and Angie Gruling.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Helen's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
