As Georgia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Georgia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Georgia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lambros Megremis and Vasilike Megremis; her brother Peter Megremis (Joyce); and her brother-in-law Kenneth Kish. She is survived by: her husband William Kish; her brother Theodore Megremis (Bess); her sister-in-law Helene Berg; and her mother-in-law Helen Kish. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 1 great-great niece.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral (8000 Madison St, Merrillville, IN 46410).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Georgia's name to Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral or to a charity of your choice.
