He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jane Schutz Hopper; his son Ronald Schutz; his parents, Edward Hopper and Ardelle Hopper; and his siblings, Robert, John, Arthur, Maurice, Hazel, Marian, Jeanie, Elizabeth "Betty" and Laura.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Hopper Ortiz (Steve), Marlyss Hopper Coats (Kevin), Lisa Hopper Edwards, George H. Hopper, Jr. (Paulette) and Jeffrey Schutz; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Bennett and Cathy Schutz. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
