He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidoro Otano and Ines Otano; and his siblings, Jose, Ismael, Lydia, Juan and George Otano.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestina Otano (Nini) of Jayuya; his children, Richard Otano, Michael Otano (Rosie), Evelyn Price and Cynthia Fry (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Serena, Celeste, Mykelle, Gabrielle, Michael, Carissa, Colin, Alec, Hayley, Giuliana, Nicolas and Anya.
