He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert McGowen and Bessie McGowen (Silveus); his wife Violet "Vi" McGowen; his great grandchild Marcus Yates; and his siblings, Herschel, Pete, Mary, Bea, Mabel, Belva and Zola.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terry Hively of Mentone, Sherry (Stephen Yates) of Melbourne and Lori (Frank Halbert) of Rye. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren.
