He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert R. Utter and LaVera M. Utter (Walters); his grandson Ryan Utter; his brothers, Ron and Jim Utter; and his stepson Darwin Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Laura (Kenneth Hawkins) of Warsaw, Rita Jo Utter of Ft. Wayne, Shelly King of Burket, Kathy Blauser of Warsaw, Brenda Utter of Etna Green, Tina (Jeff Becker) of Culver and Rod (Donna Utter) of Akron; his stepdaughter Margaret (Mike Walton) of Mentone; his foster daughter Janet Elliott of Kentucky; and his sisters, Sue Curtis of Warsaw and Luanne (Jim May) of Columbia City. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren.
