He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Threlkel and Delphia Leitner (Raymer); his son Russell Threlkel; and his siblings, Betty Jean Tomes, Gastell McDonald and Thomas Threlkel.
He is survived by: his spouse Allyson Threlkel (Campbell); his sons, Kevin Threlkel (Pam) of Sellersburg, IN and Lucas Threlkel of Kansas; his stepchildren, Sarah Butler of Clarksville, IN and Christopher Butler of Sellersburg, IN; his grandchildren, Jordan Connor Threlkel and Jordan Christopher Butler; and his siblings, Larry Threlkel of Memphis, IN and Marlene Kirkpatrick (Leon) of Underwood, IN..
