He is survived by: his parents, Sue Minton and Dannie Minton; his wife Cassandra Springate; his son Coltin Springate; his stepdaughters, Kiiann Kiefer (Tammy Hammons) and Brandi Umila; his granddaughter Abbie Umila; his siblings, Jeff Minton (Heather), Scott Minton (Becki), Nikki Chittenden (Tim) and Christine Covarrubias (Michael); and his nieces and nephews, Josh Chittenden, Marcel Minton, Blair Minton, Josh Tice, MaeKayla Minton, Evelyn Minton, Olivia Tice, Brittany Tice and Haley Covarrubias.
The family request memorial gifts in honor of him be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in lieu of flowers.
