He was predeceased by: his parents, Kennedy Carter and Catherine Carter (Thomas); and his son Brian L. Carter. He is survived by: his wife Darlene A. Carter (Kleehammer) of Memphis, IN; his daughter Lisa A. Stark of Henryville, IN; his grandsons, Luke Stark of Indianapolis, IN and Jeremy Stark (Jamie) of Chicago, IL; and his sisters, Donna Miller (Jim) of Columbus, IN and Reba Marcum of Henryville, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
