He was predeceased by: his father Darrel Short; his stepmother Irene Short; and his mother Sammy (Don Carpenter). He is survived by: his wife DeeDee Short of Memphis; his brothers, Terry Kessinger of Fort Meyers and Ted Kessinger of Clark County; and his nieces and nephews, Samantha Licate, Lyndsey MacDonald, Heather Kessinger and Brandon Kessinger.
