He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Carmichael Callahan and Charles Callahan; his wife Donna Hillenburg Callahan; and his siblings, William "Billy" Callahan, Herman Callahan, Charles Callahan, Sue Miller and Beulah Callahan.
He is survived by: his son Shane Callahan of Medora, Indiana; his stepdaughter Ivy Sessions of Princeton, Indiana; and his siblings, Russell Callahan of Medora, Indiana and Patricia Turner (Charles) of Franklin, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
