Raymond Roman Pilarski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Roman Pilarski of Medora, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond H. Pilarski and Rose Pilarski (Zmuda); his former wife Vinie Imogene Schmidt; and his wife Virginia "Ruth" Kinnaman. He is survived by: his children, Dan Pilarski (Laura) of Bloomington and Donna Thompson (Tom) of Medora; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Miller (David) of Butlerville, Tonja Castetter (John) of Butlerville and Carol Soutiere (Jerry) of Marathon, Florida; and his grandchildren, Beatrice Pilarski of Bloomington, Angela Marie Walsh (Evan) of Tampa, Steven Ray Holstein of North Vernon, Stella Marie Mills (Anthony) of North Vernon, Autumn Moore (Leighton) of North Vernon, Chelsie Cross (Josh) of North Vernon, Damian Matern (Tiffany) of North Vernon, Dale Matern (Chelsey) of North Vernon, Adrian Miller of Butlerville, Dustin Matern of Franklin and Devin Matern (Rie) of Whiteland. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Vernon Cemetery (315 S Pike St, Vernon, IN 47282).
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Ray though the funeral home to the Indiana Donor Network.
