He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Downing and Adeline Downing (Ell); and his sister Nancy Evans. He is survived by: his wife Dolletta "Caroline" Downing (McLain); his daughter Roberta "Bobbie" LeMere (Richard); his grandchildren, Todd LeMere (Bettina), Timothy LeMere and Irina LeMere; his great grandchildren, Vayda, Lennox and Arlene Voltz (Scott); his brother Riley Milburn (Patti); and also, Bradley Voltz (Kayla), Kristina (Brian), Lydia, Vanessa, Mary Webb (Larry), Korey Alka, Kenzie Alka, Luke Alka and Drew Alka.
Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Indiana School for the Deaf Alumni Association 1200 E. 42nd Street Indianapolis, IN 46205.
