He is survived by: his children, William Schaekel (Debra) of Columbia, SC, Cheryl Palma (Stan) of Indianapolis, Vickie Delaney (Eugene) of Jacksonville, FL and Richard Schaekel (Kathryn) of Alliance, NE; his grandchildren, Amanda Schaekel, Devon Delaney, Julie Hamburger, Jennifer Delaney and John Schaekel; his great grandchildren, AJ, Eli and Chelsea; and his sister Dorothy Menard.
