He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael F. Bechel and Adele L. Bechel (Zakrewski); his sister Rosemary Elledge; and his niece Glenda Hale. He is survived by: his wife Charl Bechel of McCordsville, IN; his children, Tammy Reese (Tim) of Godfrey, IL, Timothy Bechel (Heather) of Godfrey, IL, Terry Bechel of Godfrey, IL, Andrew Bechel (Stephanie) of Indiana and Chad Bechel (Alex) of Indiana; his grandchildren, Todd Reese (Martha), Trisha Schnur, Terra Pierantoni (Ryan), Michael Bechel (Rachel), Christopher Bechel, Jef Elrod, Lucas, Audrey, Cooper Bechel, Dustin Meek, Aydan Bechel, Jacob Reader, Taylor, Wyatt Bechel, Carter, Allisynn, Maliah, Annabelle, Camdyn, Mia and Emmie; his sister Shirley Bechel of Indiana; his nephew John Elledge (Susan) of Florida; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Bette Stolte of Vandalia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
