He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Levi and Lois Alma Lopp Shickles; and his brothers, Carl and Denzil Shickles. He is survived by: his wife Claire Ruth Dailey Shickles; his stepsons, Richard McAfee (Rhonda) of Corydon and Gregory McAfee (Mary) of Mauckport; his stepgrandson Jason McAfee (Samantha); his sisters, Barbara Van Antwerp (David) of Vallonia and Wanda Shickles; his nieces and nephews, Carola Macy (John), Jeff Shickles (Jessica), Holly Wischmeier (Louis) and Billy Van Antwerp (Sheila); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, J. R. Macy, Sarah Shickles, Emma Wischmeier, Libby Wischmeier and Jacob Shickles.
