He is survived by: his wife Jewel Townsley Compton; his sons, Joseph 'Skip Compton (Zina) of Indianapolis and Jarrett Compton (Mary Jo) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Jinian Iavarone (Jacob) of West Allis, WI and Amanda Compton of Evansville; and his great grandchildren, Sebastian Iavarone and Evelyn Iavarone.
