She was predeceased by: her parents, Estel McCullough and Clona M. McCullough (Carter); the father of her children James B. Fishel; her significant other Lester J. Fritch; her husband Maurice R. Flake, Sr.; and her siblings, Charles, Ralph, Robert Sink, Mary Brummett and Betty Sink.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelia A. Gibson of Lebanon, TN and Melody L. Pfeffer Kenworthy (Ray) of Mooresville, IN; her grandchildren, James Richardson (Kim), Michael Wiggins and Michelle Lee (David); and her great grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica, Izabella Richardson and Alexis Lee.
