He is survived by: his children, Larry Schwab (Debbie) of Martinsville, David Schwab (Charlotte) of Martinsville, Tony Schwab (Karen) of Martinsville, Janet Arthur of Martinsville, Mary Shobe (Randy) of Morgantown, Patty Miller (Kevin) of Martinsville and Kathy Schwab of Martinsville; his children-in-law, Cindy Schwab of Martinsville and Joe Haines of Columbus, IN; his sisters, Mary Ellen Wheeler of Idaho and Patty Wood (Randy) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Andrea Leonard (Mark), Amanda Sanders (Kenny), Joey Schwab (Alisha), Adam Schwab (Tara), Amber Palkoner (Kyle), Jamie Hovious (Mandy), Cayla Sciscoe (Justin), Shelby Phillips (Alexis) of Lindsay Schwab, D. J., Jason Arthur (Kari), Michele Garza (Tony), Casey Schwab (Erin), Mallory Schwab (Brandy), Monica Schwab (Lauren), Samantha Holman (Nick), Stephanie Patrick (Scott), William Shobe, Caitlyn Cherry (Trent), Cassidy Miller and Maryssa Foster; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Brennan Leonard, Haleiagh, Kendra, Daniel, Dylan Sanders, Adrienne, Blakely, Briggs Schwab, Bexton Schwab, Mason, Gavin Palkoner, James (Kyla), John Kerr (Mary), Lincoln, Conner Hovious, Adelynn, Anniston, Aiden Sciscoe, Harli, Asher, Oakley, Jersi Phillips, Theo Schwab, Tyler, Kyndal, Kamryn Arthur, Nick (Jorden), Chloe, Presley, Greyson Garza, Carter, Sam, Lucy Schwab, Colton VanCleave, Eli Leek, Harper, Ellie Holman, Sophie, Donnie, Palmer Patrick, Rhett England, Amelia and Rilyn Cherry; and his great great grandchildren, Kohen Roembke, Paizley Wood, Malia and Ryker Garza.
A rosary was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 3:45 PM at the Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center (110 E Poston Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151). Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (1709 E Harrison St, Martinsville, IN 46151). A reception was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
The family has requested that contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the William & Helen Schwab Foundation.
