He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Catherine "Kate" Gentry (Whaley); his stepson Jack Guinn; his parents, Raymon and Geneva; and his siblings, Francis Gentry, Raymon Merle Gentry and Pearl Ridgway.
He is survived by: his son Jerry Lee Gentry of Kissimmee; his sister Sherrel Taylor of Freedom; and also, Marjorie Spannan of Spencer, Freeda Lane of Spencer and Sharron Alexander of Lafayette. He is also survived by three grandchildren, six step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
