He was predeceased by: his parents, Cosa Thacker and Chriselda Thacker (Thomas); his siblings, Mike Thacker and Beulah Ann Pottorff; and his grandson Aiden Thacker.
He is survived by: his children, Kristen Thacker of Beech Grove, Indiana and Brian Thacker of South Carolina; his stepson Douglas Frye of Indianapolis, Indiana; his siblings, Gary Thacker (Tina) of Mooresville, Indiana and Judy Gabbard (Jack) of Franklin; and his grandchild Shelby Conner.
A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the American Legion Post #230 (701 E Morgan St, Martinsville, IN 46151).
