He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon and Helen; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Parmerlee, David Parmerlee, Carrolle Parmerlee and Norma Riddle.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Sue Parmerlee (Loman); his children, Timothy Parmerlee of Cleveland, Tennessee, Marla Manion of Mooresville and Suzanna Graphman of Martinsville; and his siblings, Vernon L. Parmerlee, Gretchen Selmier, Judy Houk and Janice Sloan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
