Stanley Ray Stidd Obituary
Stanley Ray Stidd, 76, Poland, IN, a longtime Martinsville resident, passed suddenly from this life on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 14, 1943 in Martinsville to the late Donald M. and Lucille (Coffman) Stidd. Stanley was a graduate of the Indiana State School for the Deaf with the Class of 1962.
He attended the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bedford, IN. He retired from GM Truck & Bus in Indianapolis and previously worked as a Master Die Cutter for Herf Jones in Indianapolis. He leaves behind three sons, Dean Stidd (wife, Maggie) of Martinsville; Brian Stidd of Indianapolis and Blake Stidd (wife, Samantha) of Greenwood; one brother, Ron Stidd (wife, Ida) of Martinsville; five grandchildren, Alaska and Quintin Stidd, Brittany Gill, Brianna Rowell and Bailey Stidd and five great grandchildren, Addison, Ronan, Phoenix and Atlas Rowell and Sawyer Gill.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 10th from 4:00-8:00 pm and Thursday, July 11th from 10:00-11:00 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center in Martinsville. A service celebrating Stanley's life will begin Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
