He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Myers and Velma Rose Myers (Alexander); his wife Vina Myers; his daughter Patricia Galyan; and his siblings, Walter Myers Jr., Rose Leise, Ester Johns, Betty Johns, Lois Myers and Christina Manley.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shad Galyan (Toni) of Mooresville, Marilee Hamilton (Eddie) of Clayton and Heather Galyan of Brooklyn; and his sisters, Ruth McGee and Sharon Richardson. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
