He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarance L. Hamblen and Virginia R. Hamblen (Rariden); his wife Virginia R. Hamblen (Haviland); and his siblings, Roland "Dale" Hamblen, Nina Murray and Susie Lucas.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Anderson (Don) of Martinsville, Gary Hamblen of Martinsville, Jerry Hamblen (Mary) of Brown County, Ronnie Hamblen of Indianapolis and Ryan Hamblen (Tabby) of Mooresville; his siblings, Steve Hamblen, Darrel "Buster" Hamblen, Teresa Vandagrift, Dee Baker and Jody Mathers; and his grandchildren, Megan, Sage, Orry, Heather, Connor, Ryan, Ashley, Jonathan, Elijah and Ronnie. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
