He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki, Lori and Terri; his siblings, Ronald Hamblen (Virginia) of Martinsville, Darrell Hamblen (Beth) of Martinsville, Steve Hamblen (Lavern) of Martinsville, Jody Mathers of Martinsville, Virginia "Dee" Baker of Martinsville and Teresa Vandagrifft of Martinsville; and his grandchildren, Brandon Shireman, Eric Hamblen, Benjamin Shireman, Christopher Mills, Adam Mills, Emily Shireman, Joshua Terrell and Chase Summers. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
