He is survived by: his children, Katrina S. Benson (Jeff) of Martinsville and Robert A. "Bobby" Payne III (Lisa) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Baylor Payne, Kelsey Huling (Mike) and Andrea Benson (Caleb Calvert); and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Pasbrig, Doris Larsen, Bonnie Smith and Joyce Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
