He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude H. Sparks and Mae Sparks (Collier); his niece Karen Halcomb; and his nephew Mike Park. He is survived by: his sisters, Vickie Barnes of Martinsville and Sue Carter of Franklin, IN; and his nieces, Becky Stroud (Larry), Glenda Peeden (Glen) and Teresa Ham (Bob).
Richard's family has honored all of his final wishes including his request for memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to the Churches in Mission, 27 S. Indiana Street, Mooresville, IN 46158.
