He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Thacker and Virginia Thacker (Boggs); his wife Bette Lou Thacker (Doss); and his siblings, Vernon Thacker and Blanche Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Paul Thacker of Martinsville, IN and Erin Uhl (Matt) of Palmyra, IN; his brother Charlie Thacker (Jenny) of Franklin, IN; and his grandchildren, Addison, Skyler Thacker, Zander Barnes, Grace and Graham Uhl.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center (110 E Poston Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
