She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl V. Rutan and Martha Kathleen Rutan (Burns); her husband James M. "Jim" Skaggs; her sons, James Chance Skaggs and Patrick James Skaggs; and her siblings, Fred Rutan, Robert "Bob" Rutan, Pauline Green, Barbara Simpson and Anita Costin.
She is survived by: her children, Harold "Chad" Skaggs (Tootie) of Martinsville and Angela L. "Angie" Skaggs of Martinsville; her grandchildren, Taylor DeRossett, Spencer Skaggs, Sydney Skaggs and Sadie Skaggs; and her great grandchildren, Amelia DeRossett and Einar DeRossett.
