He is survived by: his wife Pat Carter (Fleener) of Martinsville; his children, Kelly L. Carter (Lisa Michelle) of Martinsville, Sherry L. Knuth (Keith) of Westfield, Beth J. Whitaker (Tim) of Paragon and Brenda J. Speicher of Martinsville, Indiana; his brother Ronald K. Carter (Bonnie) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Evan D., Hagan J. Carter, Samuel J. Whitaker, Jacob K., Kaleigh E., Samantha J. Speicher, Grace Elizabeth Whitaker and Katie Knuth; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Beau, Jaxson, Leo, Rocky and Emma.
