He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hillard and June Hillard (Crall); and his brother Jim Hillard. He is survived by: his wife Caroline S. Hillard (Dant) of Martinsville; his daughter Suzan Sichting (Robin) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Katy Hill (Nate) and Travis Sichting (Brandy); and his great grandchildren, Audrianna, Diamond, Dalton, Ariyah Hill and Bentlee Sichting.
