He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stapert and Ada Stapert (Pleasant); his wife Laura Denise Stapert (Anthony); and his brothers, Junior Stapert and Jerry Stapert.
He is survived by: his children, Joshua W. Stapert, Michael D. Stapert, Jr., Chad Dawson, Tiffany M. Ladigo and Jenny Wren Marshall; his siblings, Delmer Stapert, Ricky Stapert and Becky Eggers; and his mother-in-law Janice Anthony. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
