He was predeceased by: his father Forest Maxwell; his siblings, Cleon, Leon Maxwell, Verle, Dale, Melvin Maxwell and Sonoma Wood; and his great grandchild Deacon Ryan Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Madalyn Maxwell (Webel); his children, Kelly Maxwell (Marylee), Coleen Ray (Mike) of Martinsville, Kathy Ullyot (Jim) of Indianapolis and Kerri Smith (Chad) of Martinsville; and his siblings, Larry Maxwell (Suzie), Delores Garau of Martinsville, Kathleen Paul of Martinsville, Sue Hess of Martinsville and Karen McGinnis (Jerry) of Martinsville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
