He is survived by: his wife Judy Mason; his children, Tammy Hutchins of Oklahoma, Troy Mason (Melanie Reynolds) of Martinsville and Melvin III (Loraine Mason); and his stepsons, James and Michael Thacker (Melinda) of Martinsville.
