With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Earl Bales of Martinsville, Indiana, who passed away on February 14, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Nellie Edith Bales (Peters); his sons, Kelvin "Brett" Bales, Bart Bales and Kevin Bradley Bales; and his siblings, Richard Bales and Rosemary Deckard.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bales (Goss) of Martinsville; his daughter-in-law Coeita Bales of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Emily Paavola (David) of South Carolina, Zach Bales of Martinsville, Isaac Bales (Kirsty) of Martinsville, Lindsay Pence of Martinsville and Madison Bales of Martinsville; and his siblings, Ivan "Buddy" Bales (Judy) of Greenwood, Maurice "Doc" Bales (Terri), William "Bill" Bales of Martinsville, Eileen Bennett of Martinsville and Sharon "Shani" Ennis (Richard) of Martinsville. He is also survived by two sons, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
